                National Health Observances - 2011

Health observances are days, weeks or months which are devoted to bringing awareness to particular health concerns. Health professionals, community groups, and volunteers who deal with these concerns may use these special dates to sponsor health promotion events.

These events are important in spreading awareness of health risks and disease prevention to the public. Sponsoring organizations supply promotional materials to aid in health events. For more information, you may contact the sponsoring organization directly.
