"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
so love the people who treat you right,
forget about the ones who don't,
and  believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,
they just promised it would be worth it." - Harvey Mackay

Friendship is like a Rainbow
Thank you for your Friendship!

Colors

The Rainbow
The colors of the rainbow
The melody of sound, is so
Pleasing to the soul, and peace
Of mind, is more easily found.

There is no reason, to question
That which our eyes and ears
Can see, and hear, for it is a
Pleasure, we need not fear.

So let our minds wonder through
The beauty that we know,
Times of happiness, not sorrow,
For each has a place of its own.

For beauty's in the finding, and if
We seek, is easily found in the
World around us, and when it's in
Another, it is beauty that astounds.
2006, J Morgan

A Picture of Peace
There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace.
Many artists tried. The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror, for peaceful towering mountains were all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.
Which picture do you think won the prize? The King chose the second picture. Do you know why?
"Because," explained the King, "peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace." - Author Unknown

"More important than learning how to recall things is finding ways to forget things that are cluttering the mind.  Before going to sleep at night, empty your consciousness of unwanted things, even as you empty your pockets.
Run the contents of your mind through a positive detector.  Perhaps you're harboring a sense of guilt for something done or left undone.  Whatever comes out "unjustified" or "destructive," let it go.
What you have been is not important.
What really counts in your life is what you are reaching for, what you are becoming." - Eric Butterworth

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, that's why we call it the present." - Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962)     Sandy Grace, Lehigh Acres, FL

"Hold On…
Hold on to what is good,
even if it’s a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe,
even if it’s a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do,
even if it’s a long way from here.
Hold on to your life,
even if it’s easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand,
even if I’ve gone away from you." – A Pueblo Indian Prayer

Eileen Dulude, Greenfield, Massachusetts

"It may be your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others." - Unknown
In Loving Memory of Melisa Iturria - (Melisa passed away on September 16, 2006  due to complications from severe COPD.) Despite her illness, Melisa was a true
inspiration to her son Michael and her husand Rudy, also to friends and caregivers struggling with COPD.
Melisa will not be forgotten in our COPD world. She has built a legacy of strength and caring. We have to be thankful that Melisa is now in heaven with all of the fresh air that she was always longing for. Melisa is now our "Angel in the sky".

"Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get." - H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

"There is something exceedingly thrilling in the voices of children singing.  Though their music is unskillful, yet if finds its way to the heart with wonderful alacrity.  Voices of cherubs are they, for they breath of Paradise; clear liquid tones, that flow from pure lips and innocent hearts, like the sweetness of a flute, or the falling of water from a fountain." - LONGFELLOW

"As every thread of gold is valuable, so is every moment of time." - Unknown

"When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things - not the great occasions - give off the greatest glow of happiness." - Bob Hope

"Appreciate the simple thing that life has to offer." -
Chaplain Smiley, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA.

"From sun-baked bulbs these tulips grew,
Heads tossed by passing breeze.
Fine ladies dancing tall and true,
Doing whatever they please.
When tulips grace our meeting,
We know that spring is here.
And their show however feeling,
The eye and senses cheer." -  Angies Tulip Page
In Loving Memory of Phil Hamilton - (Phil passed away on 19 December 2006 due to complications of COPD/Emphysema.) Phil never gave up this past year as he was continually in and out of the hospital struggling to recover from Pneumonia.   Phil inspired Jane Martin to continue her work with Breathing Better, Living Well, also giving me the determination to begin my own website, Love Your Lungs, Breathe For Life. Phil's courage and strength will be remembered by all COPD patients that knew him. We must rejoice to know that Phil is with our loved ones "Breathing freely" in heaven.

"It is in the compelling zest of high adventure and of victory, and in creative action, that man finds his supreme joys."  - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

"Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.  It is easy to be pleasant when life flows by like a song, but the man worth while is the one who will smile, when everything goes dead wrong."
Don't let life make you bitter! - Unknown
